NYH817G + NYH100P is a combination anticancer drug candidate being developed by the South Korean biotechnology company Haim Bio. The therapy utilizes a dual-pathway metabolic inhibition strategy to target cancer cells: NYH817G acts as an aldehyde dehydrogenase (ALDH) inhibitor to disrupt metabolic processes and induce apoptosis, while NYH100P functions as a mitochondrial complex 1 inhibitor to block the glucose metabolism pathway. This synergistic approach is designed to starve cancer cells of energy, particularly in advanced solid tumors that have become resistant to standard treatments. The combination, sometimes referred to by the code NYH817100, entered Phase 1 clinical trials in South Korea following regulatory approval from the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety in 2019.
