Overview

**OBE022 + atosiban** is a combination therapy evaluated for the prevention of preterm labor. OBE022 (ebopiprant) is a novel, orally active, selective prostaglandin F2α (PGF2α) receptor antagonist aimed at reducing inflammation and uterine contractions by blocking the action of PGF2α, a key driver of myometrial contractility. Atosiban is a peptide oxytocin and vasopressin receptor antagonist used intravenously as a tocolytic agent to suppress premature labor by inhibiting oxytocin-mediated uterine contractions and reducing prostaglandin release. This combination is being studied as a sequential or simultaneous regimen for women with threatened preterm labor to prolong pregnancy by targeting complementary pathways that control uterine activity[3][1][4].
