**Obicetrapib + rosuvastatin** is a combination therapy consisting of obicetrapib, an investigational highly selective cholesteryl ester transfer protein (CETP) inhibitor, and rosuvastatin, a widely used HMG-CoA reductase inhibitor (statin). Obicetrapib reduces low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C) by inhibiting CETP-mediated transfer of cholesteryl esters, thereby increasing hepatic LDL receptor expression and LDL clearance. Rosuvastatin decreases cholesterol synthesis in the liver via inhibition of HMG-CoA reductase, leading to upregulation of hepatic LDL receptors and increased clearance of LDL from plasma. This combination has been studied for additive LDL-C lowering effects in patients with dyslipidemia and atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease (ASCVD), showing robust reductions in atherogenic lipoproteins with good tolerability and no clinically significant pharmacokinetic interaction between components[1][3][4][5][6].
