ofloxacin + metronidazole + simethicone

Floxar-MSZ is a fixed-dose combination pharmaceutical product marketed by Forgo Pharmaceuticals, primarily indicated for the treatment of mixed gastrointestinal infections, including bacterial and protozoal diarrhea or dysentery. It contains three active components: ofloxacin, a second-generation fluoroquinolone antibiotic; metronidazole, a nitroimidazole antibiotic and antiprotozoal agent; and simethicone, an anti-foaming agent. Ofloxacin exerts its antibacterial effect by inhibiting the bacterial enzymes DNA gyrase and topoisomerase IV, which are critical for DNA replication and transcription. Metronidazole is reduced within anaerobic pathogens to form toxic intermediates that cause DNA strand breakage and cell death. Simethicone acts physically as a surfactant to reduce the surface tension of gas bubbles in the gastrointestinal tract, facilitating their expulsion and relieving symptoms of flatulence and abdominal discomfort associated with enteric infections.
