Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Olmitoch MT is a cardiovascular combination tablet marketed by Mitoch Pharma in India, containing olmesartan medoxomil (20 mg) and metoprolol succinate extended-release (50 mg). Olmesartan medoxomil is an angiotensin II receptor blocker (ARB) that targets the AT1 receptor, promoting vasodilation and reducing blood pressure by blocking the vasoconstrictive effects of angiotensin II. Metoprolol succinate is a cardioselective beta-1 adrenergic receptor blocker that reduces heart rate and cardiac output. Together, these agents provide a synergistic approach to managing hypertension and other cardiovascular conditions.
