Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Olvi-Vec + platinum-doublet chemotherapy + bevacizumab is an investigational combination regimen being evaluated for the treatment of platinum-resistant or refractory ovarian, fallopian tube, and primary peritoneal cancers. The regimen consists of Olvi-Vec (olvimulogene nanivacirepvec), a proprietary, modified oncolytic vaccinia virus administered intraperitoneally, followed by systemically administered platinum-doublet chemotherapy (typically carboplatin or cisplatin combined with another chemotherapeutic agent) and the anti-VEGF monoclonal antibody bevacizumab. Olvi-Vec is designed to selectively infect and destroy cancer cells, stimulate a tumor-specific immune response, and remodel the immunosuppressive tumor microenvironment, thereby potentially re-sensitizing the tumor to subsequent platinum-based chemotherapy. This combination is currently being evaluated in the Phase 3 OnPrime/GOG-3076 clinical trial sponsored by Genelux Corporation.
