Drug intelligence / Profile preview
**Ombitasvir + paritaprevir + ritonavir** is an oral fixed-dose direct-acting antiviral combination for chronic hepatitis C virus infection. Ombitasvir inhibits hepatitis C virus NS5A, paritaprevir inhibits the viral NS3/4A protease, and ritonavir inhibits CYP3A to increase paritaprevir exposure. It was marketed by AbbVie as Technivie in the United States and Viekirax in Europe, generally with ribavirin for genotype 4 infection and, in some settings, with dasabuvir for genotype 1 infection. Technivie and Viekirax have since been discontinued or withdrawn from their principal markets for commercial reasons.
