Drug intelligence / Profile preview
**Omeclamox-Pak** is an oral, co-packaged triple therapy containing delayed-release omeprazole, amoxicillin, and clarithromycin. Omeprazole irreversibly inhibits gastric hydrogen-potassium ATPase to suppress gastric acid secretion, while amoxicillin inhibits bacterial cell-wall synthesis through penicillin-binding proteins and clarithromycin inhibits bacterial protein synthesis by binding 23S ribosomal RNA in the 50S ribosomal subunit. It is approved for eradication of *Helicobacter pylori* in adults with active duodenal ulcer disease or a history of duodenal ulcer disease. The labeled regimen is omeprazole 20 mg, clarithromycin 500 mg, and amoxicillin 1,000 mg twice daily for 10 days; the product is supplied as daily administration cards containing the required capsules and tablets.
