Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Omeza collagen matrix + lidocaine + Omeza skin protectant is a combination wound care kit developed for the management of chronic and complex wounds, including partial and full-thickness wounds, pressure ulcers, venous ulcers, diabetic ulcers, chronic vascular ulcers, tunneled/undermined wounds, surgical wounds, trauma wounds, and draining wounds. The combination typically includes: - **Omeza Collagen Matrix**: a sterile, single-use topical matrix comprised of hydrolyzed fish collagen and infused with cod liver oil and various plant-derived oils. It acts as a scaffold for wound healing by maintaining a moist environment and providing extracellular matrix elements to promote tissue repair. - **Lidocaine (as Omeza Lidocaine Lavage)**: a local anesthetic used to provide pain relief and facilitate wound debridement. It is usually applied prior to dressing changes to reduce patient discomfort. - **Omeza Skin Protectant**: an over-the-counter skin protectant formulated with omega fatty acids and oatmeal, designed to strengthen fragile skin and provide a barrier to prevent maceration of periwound and surrounding intact skin. The combined therapy addresses inflammation, inhibits biofilm, increases circulation, reduces pain, and supports each phase of wound healing through topical mechanisms. The product is supplied in single-use vials and is designed for head-to-toe use on a variety of wound etiologies. It is developed and manufactured by Omeza.
