Oracure (Amoun Pharmaceutical)

Oracure is a topical oral gel used for the symptomatic relief of painful inflammatory conditions of the mouth, including oral mucositis, mouth ulcers, and gingivitis. It is a combination product typically formulated with an analgesic and anti-inflammatory agent (choline salicylate), a local anesthetic (lidocaine), and an antiseptic (benzalkonium chloride). Choline salicylate provides relief from pain and inflammation by inhibiting cyclooxygenase enzymes, while lidocaine offers rapid local anesthesia by blocking voltage-gated sodium channels. Benzalkonium chloride acts as a broad-spectrum antiseptic to prevent secondary microbial infections in damaged oral mucosa. In clinical research, Oracure has been utilized as a component of conventional symptomatic treatment regimens for managing radiation-induced oral mucositis in patients with head and neck cancer.
