The oral hexavalent reassortant rotavirus attenuated live vaccine (Vero cell) is a multivalent, live-attenuated viral vaccine developed for the prevention of rotavirus gastroenteritis in infants. Produced using Vero cell culture technology, the vaccine contains six reassortant rotavirus strains, typically covering the G1, G2, G3, G4, G9, and P[8] serotypes. These genotypes represent the most common causes of severe diarrhea and dehydration in children globally. The vaccine is administered orally and works by mimicking a natural infection to stimulate the immune system to produce neutralizing antibodies and local intestinal immunity (IgA) against Rotavirus A. It is currently undergoing Phase 3 clinical trials in China, including studies to evaluate batch-to-batch consistency, immunogenicity, and safety in infants aged 6 to 12 weeks.
