A combination therapy consisting of osimertinib, an EGFR tyrosine kinase inhibitor, and quaratusugene ozeplasmid, a gene therapy that delivers the TUSC2 tumor suppressor gene via non-viral lipid nanoparticles. This combination is being investigated for the treatment of advanced non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) with EGFR mutations that has progressed after osimertinib treatment. Quaratusugene ozeplasmid targets the TUSC2 gene and is designed to interrupt cell signaling pathways, recreate pathways for apoptosis in cancer cells, modulate immune response against cancer cells, and block the development of drug resistance.
