Drug intelligence / Profile preview
OVV-01 + AK112 is an investigational combination therapy comprising OVV-01, an oncolytic virus, and AK112 (ivonescimab), a bispecific antibody targeting programmed cell death protein 1 (PD-1) and vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF). OVV-01 is a biologic agent designed to selectively infect and lyse tumor cells while stimulating a systemic anti-tumor immune response. AK112 simultaneously inhibits the PD-1/PD-L1 immune checkpoint and the VEGF-mediated angiogenic pathway, potentially enhancing immune-mediated tumor destruction and normalizing tumor vasculature. This combination is being evaluated in Phase II clinical trials for the treatment of advanced (metastatic or recurrent unresectable) soft tissue sarcoma (STS). The studies are primarily sponsored by the Cancer Institute and Hospital, Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences.
