Overview

OVX836 + quadrivalent inactivated influenza vaccine (QIV) is a concomitant immunization regimen being developed by Osivax. OVX836 is a recombinant protein vaccine candidate that targets the highly conserved internal nucleoprotein (NP) of the influenza virus, utilizing a self-assembling nanoparticle platform to induce a broad T-cell response. The QIV component consists of standard seasonal inactivated vaccines (such as Fluarix Tetra or Afluria Quad) that target the surface hemagglutinin (HA) proteins of four specific influenza strains. The combination aims to provide both the strain-specific protection of traditional vaccines and the broad, cross-reactive protection against multiple influenza A and B strains offered by the NP-targeting OVX836. The regimen is administered as two separate injections into opposite arms.
