Overview

Oxaliplatin + cytarabine + cyclophosphamide is an investigational combination chemotherapy regimen composed of three distinct antineoplastic agents, each with a different mechanism of action. Oxaliplatin is a platinum-based compound that induces DNA crosslinking, leading to inhibition of DNA replication and transcription and ultimately cell death. Cytarabine (also known as Ara-C) is a nucleoside analog that inhibits DNA synthesis by incorporating into DNA during the S-phase of the cell cycle, causing chain termination. Cyclophosphamide is an alkylating agent that acts as a prodrug; its active metabolites form inter- and intrastrand crosslinks in DNA, resulting in apoptosis. This combination has been explored for synergistic effects in hematologic malignancies and solid tumors but does not correspond to any widely recognized or standard named regimen as of May 2025.
