This is a combination regimen consisting of three drugs: oxaliplatin, gemcitabine, and bevacizumab. Oxaliplatin and gemcitabine are cytotoxic chemotherapy agents; oxaliplatin is a platinum-based DNA crosslinker that inhibits DNA replication and transcription, while gemcitabine is a nucleoside analog that inhibits DNA synthesis. Bevacizumab is a monoclonal antibody targeting vascular endothelial growth factor A (VEGF-A), thereby inhibiting angiogenesis in tumors. This combination has been studied in phase II clinical trials for advanced biliary tract cancers, hepatocellular carcinoma, pancreatic cancer, and recurrent Mullerian carcinoma. The regimen aims to combine direct cytotoxic effects with antiangiogenic therapy to improve tumor control[2][3][4][5][6].
