This drug is a combination of two distinct pharmaceutical agents used for different therapeutic purposes. Oxaliplatin is a platinum-based chemotherapy agent primarily used to treat colorectal cancer by causing DNA crosslinking that leads to cancer cell death. Oxycodone is a semisynthetic opioid analgesic that acts on the central nervous system by agonizing mu-, kappa-, and delta-opioid receptors to relieve moderate to severe pain.
