p53-SLP vaccine + cyclophosphamide is an investigational combination immunotherapy regimen being evaluated for the treatment of ovarian cancer. The p53-SLP vaccine is a therapeutic cancer vaccine consisting of 10 synthetic long peptides (SLPs) that encompass the amino acid sequence from residues 70 to 251 of the p53 protein. This region is a common site for mutations and overexpression in epithelial ovarian cancer, making it a viable target for T-cell mediated immune responses. The vaccine is formulated with the adjuvant Montanide ISA51 to enhance its immunogenicity. In this regimen, the vaccine is administered in conjunction with low-dose cyclophosphamide, which serves as an immunomodulator to selectively deplete regulatory T cells (Tregs), thereby potentially overcoming tumor-induced immunosuppression and improving the clinical efficacy of the vaccine.
