This is a combination regimen consisting of paclitaxel, cisplatin, and TQB2450. Paclitaxel is a microtubule-stabilizing chemotherapeutic agent that inhibits cell division. Cisplatin is a platinum-based chemotherapy drug that causes DNA crosslinking and apoptosis in cancer cells. TQB2450 (benmelstobart) is a novel humanized immunoglobulin G1 monoclonal antibody targeting programmed death-ligand 1 (PD-L1), developed by Chia Tai Tianqing Pharmaceutical Group. The combination has been investigated as first-line therapy for advanced esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC) and biliary tract cancer (BTC), often with or without the addition of anlotinib, showing encouraging efficacy and manageable toxicity profiles in early-phase clinical trials[1][2][3][7][8].
