Paclitaxel + palbociclib is an investigational combination therapy for cancer, primarily studied in advanced breast cancer. Paclitaxel is a microtubule-stabilizing agent that disrupts mitosis by arresting cells in the M phase of the cell cycle, leading to apoptosis. Palbociclib is a selective cyclin-dependent kinase 4/6 (CDK4/6) inhibitor that blocks cell cycle progression at the G1/S transition by inhibiting phosphorylation of retinoblastoma protein.
