Overview

Paclitaxel + tezatinib is a combination of two investigational or approved anticancer agents. Paclitaxel is a well-established chemotherapeutic agent from the taxane class that works by stabilizing microtubules and inhibiting their disassembly during cell division. This disrupts mitosis and leads to cancer cell death[2][6][8]. Tezatinib is presumed to be a small molecule inhibitor targeting specific kinases involved in cancer progression; however, there are no publicly available clinical or preclinical data confirming its mechanism of action or development status as of June 2025. The combination would theoretically leverage the cytotoxic effects of paclitaxel with targeted inhibition by tezatinib for enhanced antitumor activity.
