Overview

This drug is a **combination regimen** consisting of paclitaxel formulated in cationic liposomes, oxaliplatin, and capecitabine. Paclitaxel cationic liposome is a novel lipid nanoparticle formulation designed to improve tumor targeting and reduce peripheral neurotoxicity compared to conventional paclitaxel. Oxaliplatin is a platinum-based chemotherapeutic agent that causes cytotoxicity via DNA crosslinking. Capecitabine is an oral fluoropyrimidine carbamate that is converted to 5-fluorouracil in tumor tissues, where it inhibits DNA synthesis. This combination is being investigated primarily for the treatment of **colorectal liver metastases** as first-line therapy. The regimen is administered as hepatic arterial infusion of paclitaxel cationic liposome in combination with systemic oxaliplatin and capecitabine[7][2][4][5]. The goal is to synergistically target cancer cells via multiple mechanisms, enhance efficacy, and minimize toxicity.
