Overview

A traditional Chinese medicine combination used primarily for treating rheumatoid arthritis. The formulation consists of paeoniflorin (PAE), which has anti-inflammatory properties, and cervus and cucumis polypeptide injection (CCPI), which has bone healing, pain relieving, and anti-inflammatory properties. Clinical studies indicate that while this combination may not be as effective as conventional disease-modifying antirheumatic drugs (DMARDs) for long-term treatment of rheumatoid arthritis, it appears to have a faster onset of action and fewer adverse effects.
