Palbociclib works by inhibiting the activity of CDK4 and CDK6, leading to cell cycle arrest at the G1 phase and halting proliferation of tumor cells reliant on the retinoblastoma (Rb) pathway. Nab-paclitaxel binds to and stabilizes microtubules, blocking cell division and resulting in apoptosis.
