Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Levagen + resveratrol is an oral nutraceutical combination developed by RDC Global Pty Ltd, specifically designed to address pain and inflammation associated with menstrual disorders. The product combines Levagen+, a highly bioavailable formulation of palmitoylethanolamide (PEA) utilizing LipiSperse® dispersion technology, with the polyphenolic antioxidant resveratrol. PEA is an endogenous fatty acid amide that exerts analgesic and anti-inflammatory effects by modulating endocannabinoid-like receptors and prostaglandin-mediated pathways. The LipiSperse® technology enhances the bioavailability of PEA by approximately 1.75 times compared to standard formulations. This combination is currently being evaluated in a Phase 3/4 clinical trial for the treatment of primary dysmenorrhea in adult women.
