Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Pamrevlumab + nintedanib is a combination therapy under investigation for the treatment of idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF). **Pamrevlumab** is a fully human monoclonal antibody targeting and inhibiting connective tissue growth factor (CTGF), a key mediator in the development and progression of fibrosis. **Nintedanib** is a small molecule, triple angiokinase inhibitor that targets receptor tyrosine kinases including platelet-derived growth factor receptor (PDGFR) α/β, fibroblast growth factor receptor (FGFR) 1/2/3, and vascular endothelial growth factor receptor (VEGFR) 1/2/3, inhibiting fibroblast proliferation, migration, and transformation. Combination therapy aims to address multiple pathways implicated in fibrotic lung disease. **Pamrevlumab** is developed by FibroGen; **nintedanib** was developed by Boehringer Ingelheim and marketed as Ofev[1][3][4][5].
