Lipram is specifically indicated for the treatment of exocrine pancreatic insufficiency (EPI), a condition where the pancreas does not produce enough enzymes to properly digest food. This condition is frequently associated with cystic fibrosis, chronic pancreatitis, pancreatectomy, or other gastrointestinal surgeries.
