This drug is a combination chemotherapy regimen consisting of panitumumab, oxaliplatin, levofolinate calcium (L-leucovorin), and fluorouracil (5-FU), typically administered intravenously. Panitumumab is an epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) inhibitor and fully human monoclonal antibody used as targeted therapy. Oxaliplatin is a platinum-based alkylating agent that promotes cytotoxicity via DNA crosslinking. Levofolinate calcium (L-leucovorin) is a stabilizer and potentiator of fluorouracil cytotoxicity by enhancing thymidylate synthase inhibition. Fluorouracil is an antimetabolite that inhibits DNA synthesis by blocking thymidylate synthase. This regimen is primarily studied and used in the first-line treatment of advanced or metastatic colorectal cancer with wild-type RAS/BRAF genes[1][2].
