Panobinostat + trastuzumab + paclitaxel is an investigational drug combination evaluated for the treatment of HER2-positive metastatic breast cancer. Panobinostat is a small molecule histone deacetylase inhibitor (HDAC inhibitor) that disrupts transcriptional processes leading to apoptosis and cell cycle arrest. Trastuzumab is a monoclonal antibody targeting the human epidermal growth factor receptor 2 (HER2) and mediates its antitumor effects through blockade of HER2 signaling, antibody-dependent cellular cytotoxicity, and inhibition of HER2-mediated cell proliferation. Paclitaxel is an antineoplastic small molecule that stabilizes microtubules, resulting in inhibition of mitosis and cell division.
