OptiDerma Moisturising Skin Support is a topical combination cream developed by Optiderma Biosciences for the management of chronic wounds and the maintenance of skin integrity. The formulation contains palmidrol (palmitoylethanolamide) and *Carica papaya* fruit extract in a sorbolene base. Palmidrol is an endogenous fatty acid amide that acts as a peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor alpha (PPAR-α) agonist, providing anti-inflammatory and analgesic effects by modulating mast cell activation and pro-inflammatory cytokine production. The papaya component is included for its enzymatic and skin-conditioning properties, which support the skin barrier and promote wound healing. The product is currently being evaluated in long-term clinical studies in Australian wound care clinics as a novel alternative to standard sorbolene-based moisturizers for patients with chronic wounds.
