Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Andol Fort is a combination analgesic and antipyretic medication manufactured by Imexpharm (IMP MMC). It consists of paracetamol (acetaminophen) and caffeine. Paracetamol is a non-aspirin analgesic that acts primarily in the central nervous system to inhibit prostaglandin synthesis, thereby reducing pain and fever. Caffeine is included as an adjuvant to enhance the analgesic effect of paracetamol, likely through its action as an adenosine receptor antagonist and its ability to improve the absorption or metabolic profile of the analgesic. Andol Fort is indicated for the symptomatic relief of mild to moderate pain, including headaches, migraines, toothaches, sore throats, and musculoskeletal pain, as well as for the reduction of fever associated with various conditions.
