Drug intelligence / Profile preview
A combination of two non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) used for perioperative pain management. Parecoxib is a selective COX-2 inhibitor while flurbiprofen axetil is a non-selective NSAID delivered via lipid microspheres. The combination provides complementary analgesic coverage, with parecoxib being most effective at 0, 0.5, 1, 6, 8, and 24 hours postoperatively, while flurbiprofen axetil shows peak efficacy at 2, 4, and 12 hours. Both drugs reduce postoperative pain, inflammation, and the incidence of adverse events compared to other analgesics.
