Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Partially hydrolyzed cow's milk formula is an infant nutrition product in which the proteins from cow’s milk (whey and/or casein) have been broken down into smaller peptides. This process makes the proteins easier to digest and less likely to cause allergic reactions compared to standard cow’s milk formulas. It is intended for infants with mild digestive discomfort or at risk of developing allergies but not for those with confirmed cow’s milk protein allergy. The mechanism of action involves reducing the size of intact proteins into smaller fragments that are less allergenic and more easily absorbed by the infant gut.
