Overview
PAS-003 is a dual-targeting chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T-cell therapy being developed by Porton Advanced for the treatment of acute myeloid leukemia (AML). The therapy involves engineering T cells to express CARs that simultaneously recognize Natural Killer Group 2D ligands (NKG2DL) and CD33, both of which are frequently overexpressed on leukemic blasts and leukemic stem cells. By targeting two distinct antigens, PAS-003 aims to enhance the specificity and efficacy of the treatment while potentially reducing the risk of antigen escape, a common mechanism of resistance in single-target CAR-T therapies. The drug is currently in the preclinical stage of development.
