The combination **pazopanib + CapeOx** consists of oral pazopanib, a small molecule multitargeted tyrosine kinase inhibitor, plus the CapeOx chemotherapy regimen (capecitabine and oxaliplatin). **Pazopanib** inhibits angiogenesis by targeting the vascular endothelial growth factor receptors (VEGFR-1, VEGFR-2, VEGFR-3), platelet-derived growth factor receptors (PDGFR-α and PDGFR-β), and c-kit, thereby preventing tumor blood vessel formation and growth. **CapeOx** combines the antimetabolite capecitabine (an oral prodrug of 5-fluorouracil) with oxaliplatin, a platinum-based DNA crosslinker, inhibiting cell replication. This combination was investigated primarily as a first-line treatment for advanced or metastatic gastric cancer, where it demonstrated moderate anti-tumor activity and a manageable toxicity profile in phase II studies[1][2][4].
