Drug intelligence / Profile preview
PB101 is an autologous cell therapy developed by Precision Biotech Taiwan Corp., consisting of natural killer (NK) and natural killer T (NKT) cells. It is being investigated in combination with epidermal growth factor receptor tyrosine kinase inhibitors (EGFR-TKIs), such as gefitinib, erlotinib, afatinib, or osimertinib, for the treatment of advanced non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) harboring EGFR mutations. The therapy aims to leverage the innate anti-tumor activity of NK and NKT cells to enhance the efficacy of standard-of-care EGFR-TKIs and potentially overcome resistance mechanisms in patients with advanced disease. A Phase I clinical study is currently evaluating the safety and tolerability of this combination regimen.
