Drug intelligence / Profile preview
This is a recombinant baculovirus vector-based inactivated vaccine developed by Youbang Pharmaceutical (also known as Uni-Bio) for the prevention of Porcine Circovirus Type 2 (PCV2) associated diseases in swine. The vaccine utilizes the CP08 strain and is produced using a baculovirus expression system to generate PCV2 capsid antigens. These antigens are then inactivated and formulated to elicit protective immunity against PCV2, which is the primary causative agent of post-weaning multisystemic wasting syndrome (PMWS) and other related porcine circovirus diseases. It is an approved veterinary biologic in China, designed to mitigate the significant economic losses caused by PCV2 in the global pig industry.
