Drug intelligence / Profile preview
This is a combination therapy consisting of three agents: - **PD-1 inhibitor** (such as pembrolizumab, nivolumab, or similar): a monoclonal antibody that blocks the programmed death 1 (PD-1) immune checkpoint on T cells, thereby enhancing antitumor immune responses by preventing tumor-mediated T cell inhibition[1][2][3][4][5][6]. - **Nab-paclitaxel** (nanoparticle albumin-bound paclitaxel): a formulation of the chemotherapy drug paclitaxel bound to albumin nanoparticles. It disrupts microtubule function in cancer cells, inhibiting mitosis and promoting apoptosis. - **Famitinib**: an oral small molecule tyrosine kinase inhibitor targeting multiple receptors involved in tumor angiogenesis and growth, including VEGFR2/3, PDGFRβ, c-Kit. The combination is being investigated for synergistic effects in cancer treatment—leveraging immunotherapy (PD-1 blockade), cytotoxic chemotherapy (nab-paclitaxel), and targeted antiangiogenic therapy (famitinib). This regimen aims to enhance antitumor efficacy by attacking tumors through complementary mechanisms.
