PD-L1 peptide + PD-L2 peptide is an investigational therapeutic cancer vaccine consisting of synthetic immunogenic peptides derived from the checkpoint ligands Programmed Death Ligand 1 (PD-L1) and Programmed Death Ligand 2 (PD-L2). Developed by researchers at the National Center for Cancer Immune Therapy (CCIT-DK) and Herlev Hospital in Denmark, the vaccine (utilizing code names IO102 and IO120) is designed to stimulate a T-cell-mediated immune response against cells in the tumor microenvironment that express these ligands. By targeting PD-L1 and PD-L2, the vaccine aims to eliminate immunosuppressive cells and restore effective anti-tumor immunity. It has been primarily evaluated in a Phase 1 clinical trial (NCT03381768) as a consolidation therapy for patients with relapsed follicular lymphoma, where it demonstrated immunogenicity and a favorable safety profile with early signs of clinical activity.
