Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Pearl's MosquitOut Patch is a DEET-free mosquito repellent patch developed by Luxembourg Medicine, a subsidiary of Wang On Group. The patch utilizes patented microcapsule technology to encapsulate the active ingredient IBI-246 (methyl nonyl ketone / 2-undecanone), a natural extract derived from wild tomatoes. Upon scratching the patch, the microcapsules break to release the active ingredient, which repels mosquitoes and other insects (such as midges, lice, ticks, flies, and mites) for up to 12 hours by disrupting their ability to detect carbon dioxide. It is designed to be affixed to clothing or other surfaces rather than directly to the skin, making it safe for families and children.
