Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Pediacel + Prevenar + Menjugate is a co-administered pediatric vaccine regimen used for routine childhood immunization. It consists of three distinct vaccine products: **Pediacel** (a pentavalent vaccine targeting diphtheria, tetanus, pertussis, poliomyelitis, and *Haemophilus influenzae* type b), **Prevenar** (a pneumococcal conjugate vaccine, typically the 13-valent Prevenar 13, targeting *Streptococcus pneumoniae*), and **Menjugate** (a conjugate vaccine targeting *Neisseria meningitidis* serogroup C). These vaccines work by inducing active immunity through the presentation of toxoids, inactivated viral particles, and bacterial polysaccharides conjugated to carrier proteins (such as CRM197 or tetanus toxoid) to the immune system. This combination is typically administered via intramuscular injection at separate sites during the same clinical visit to provide broad protection against multiple life-threatening neonatal and pediatric infections.
