Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Pegbin + ACT580 + ACT201 is an investigational triple combination therapy being developed by Amoytop Biotech (Tebao Biotech) in collaboration with Aligos Therapeutics for the treatment of chronic hepatitis B (CHB). The combination consists of Pegbin (peginterferon alfa-2b), a long-acting recombinant interferon; ACT580 (pevifoscorvir sodium, formerly ALG-000184), an oral small molecule capsid assembly modulator (CAM-E); and ACT201 (ALG-170675), an antisense oligonucleotide (ASO) that targets HBV RNA and acts as a Toll-like receptor 8 (TLR8) agonist. This triple regimen is designed to achieve a functional cure for chronic hepatitis B by combining three complementary mechanisms: potent inhibition of viral replication and prevention of cccDNA replenishment (via ACT580), rapid reduction of hepatitis B surface antigen (HBsAg) levels (via ACT201), and robust immune-mediated clearance of infected hepatocytes (via Pegbin).
