Overview

This is a combination therapy of pegvorhyaluronidase alfa (PEGPH20) and pembrolizumab. Pegvorhyaluronidase alfa is a PEGylated recombinant human hyaluronidase enzyme that degrades hyaluronic acid in the tumor microenvironment, thereby remodeling the tumor stroma, improving immune cell infiltration, and enhancing drug delivery. Pembrolizumab is a monoclonal antibody targeting programmed death receptor 1 (PD-1), acting as an immune checkpoint inhibitor to enhance anti-tumor immune responses. The combination has been investigated primarily for metastatic pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma and other solid tumors with high hyaluronan content, aiming to improve outcomes by combining stromal modulation with immunotherapy[1][2][4].
