Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Pelareorep + atezolizumab + TAS-102 is an investigational combination regimen consisting of pelareorep (an intravenously delivered oncolytic reovirus), atezolizumab (an anti-PD-L1 monoclonal antibody), and TAS-102 (trifluridine/tipiracil, a nucleoside analog-based chemotherapy). Pelareorep selectively replicates in and lyses cancer cells, releasing tumor antigens and promoting an inflamed tumor microenvironment with increased PD-L1 expression and T-cell infiltration. This immunologically active state synergizes with atezolizumab, which blocks PD-L1 to restore T-cell-mediated anti-tumor activity, while TAS-102 directly inhibits tumor cell proliferation by inducing DNA damage.
