Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Peluntamig + atezolizumab is an investigational combination therapy being evaluated for cancer treatment. Peluntamig is a first-in-class native IgG-like bispecific antibody developed by Phanes Therapeutics that targets both DLL3 (Delta-like ligand 3) and CD47, aiming to enhance anti-tumor immune responses by targeting tumor cells expressing DLL3 and disrupting the CD47 “don’t eat me” signal which helps cancer cells evade immune destruction. Atezolizumab (brand name TECENTRIQ), developed by Roche/Genentech, is a monoclonal antibody targeting the programmed death-ligand 1 (PD-L1), functioning as an immune checkpoint inhibitor to boost immune-mediated cancer cell killing. The combination is being studied in Phase I/II trials for the treatment of extensive-stage small cell lung cancer (ES-SCLC), large cell neuroendocrine carcinoma of lung (LCNEC), and extrapulmonary neuroendocrine carcinomas (EP-NECs). Peluntamig has received orphan drug and fast track designations from the FDA for SCLC, NEC, and neuroendocrine prostate cancer[1][3][5][7].
