Overview

This is a combination therapy regimen consisting of pembrolizumab (an anti-PD-1 immune checkpoint inhibitor), bevacizumab (an anti-VEGF monoclonal antibody), oxaliplatin (a platinum-based chemotherapy agent), and capecitabine (an oral fluoropyrimidine chemotherapy). The combination is being investigated primarily for the treatment of metastatic colorectal cancer (mCRC), particularly in patients with proficient mismatch repair (pMMR) or microsatellite stable (MSS) tumors with high immune infiltrate. Clinical trials have shown promising response rates and disease control in these typically immunotherapy-resistant populations.
