Overview

pembrolizumab + MP0250 is a combination therapy investigated for the treatment of advanced solid tumors. It consists of pembrolizumab (Keytruda), a humanized monoclonal antibody that targets the Programmed Cell Death Protein 1 (PD-1) receptor to enhance anti-tumor immune responses, and MP0250, a multi-specific DARPin (Designed Ankyrin Repeat Protein) candidate developed by Molecular Partners AG. MP0250 is designed to simultaneously neutralize Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor (VEGF) and Hepatocyte Growth Factor (HGF), two key pathways involved in tumor angiogenesis and resistance to therapy. Additionally, MP0250 binds to human serum albumin (HSA) to extend its systemic half-life. The combination aims to provide synergistic anti-tumor activity by combining immune checkpoint blockade with the inhibition of multiple angiogenic and growth factor signaling pathways.
