Overview

A combination therapy where salbutamol (albuterol) is administered before pentamidine inhalation treatment. Salbutamol is given to open the airways, which helps prevent coughing and bronchospasm that can occur with pentamidine inhalation. Pentamidine is an antiprotozoal medication used to prevent Pneumocystis pneumonia (PCP), a serious lung infection that commonly affects immunocompromised patients, particularly those with HIV/AIDS.
