Overview

PEP-DC is an autologous dendritic cell vaccine loaded with personalized peptides (neoantigens) identified from a patient's tumor. Developed by the Centre Hospitalier Universitaire Vaudois (CHUV), it is designed to treat advanced or metastatic non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). The vaccine utilizes the patient's own dendritic cells to present tumor-specific antigens to the immune system, thereby inducing a targeted T-cell response. In clinical trials, it is administered in combination with low-dose cyclophosphamide, which functions as an immunomodulator to deplete regulatory T cells (Tregs) and overcome tumor-induced immunosuppression.
