Perifosine + sunitinib malate is an experimental oral combination therapy being investigated primarily for advanced and refractory solid tumors and certain hematological malignancies. **Perifosine** is an oral alkylphospholipid that disrupts cancer cell membrane integrity and inhibits Akt signaling, interfering with cell proliferation and survival. **Sunitinib malate** is an orally active small molecule multi-kinase inhibitor that targets receptor tyrosine kinases involved in tumor growth, angiogenesis, and metastatic progression, including platelet-derived growth factor receptors (PDGFR), vascular endothelial growth factor receptors (VEGFR), KIT, FLT3, CSF-1R, and RET. The combination is administered orally in clinical trials to determine safety, dosage, and preliminary efficacy, especially to address tumors resistant to standard therapies. Its development has proceeded to at least phase 1 clinical trials for advanced cancers[1][2].
